It experienced the chops for the track, but introduced comfort to the supercar place. Moreover, it was simple, with a mid-engine design and a naturally equiped 270-horsepower V-6 engine. Acura brought back the NSX for 2017, and the second-generation car could not be more different. This combines turbos, motors, servo motors, clutches, and batteries to create a high-tech all-wheel-drive supercar that synthesizes driving a car feel rather than delivering it naturally.
And yet, it is also comfortable and it offers performance that first-generation car could never approach. Between it and the 9-speed dual-clutch transmission is an electric motor, and two more electric motors can be found on the front axle. The leading motors provide motive electricity permits all-wheel drive, as well as torque vectoring. A lithium-ion battery sits down before the rear motor. Total system output is 573 horsepower and 476 pound-feet torque capacity.
How will all that tech add up? The NSX is a well-ordered supercar with managing as progressive as the worldview. It melds electric and gas power into a seamless stream of scorching performance. The NSX wants to be driven rhythmically, with even inputs. This can push somewhat in a turn, but once you lift off the throttle the electric engines cut that corner firmer with their torque vectoring magic.
